— Zolo to Richard in Fanglorious


Zolo was a character who first appeared in the fourth episode of the third season of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series. He was an Aztec warrior trained in hell. He "hunts his prey by the rhythm of their heart, reading it like finger print to their souls."[1]

History[]

In Xibalba, Zolo and the other Jaguar Warriors guarded the Sun God who is Brasa as he journeyed though the underworld clearing a path for the sun to rise again.

Season Three[]

In Fanglorious, Zolo and his fellow warriors are sent by Brasa to find Scott Fuller, he locates him at the Geckos compound, he kills one of the culebra guards and sends the other warriors to take the rest while he gets Scott, he signals the others when he has found him but before he can capture him, Richard intervenes and the to engage in a fight which end with being Richard impaled with Zolo's sword. he is later seen at the car junk yard were Scott and Amaru are fighting. Zolo and Richard enter into another fight which ends with Richard breaking his arm, before they can fight again, Zolo hears Amaru fighting and runs to help her. he is last seen watching with Amaru and Brasa as the Geckos and Scott escape.

In Matanzas, he is patrolling the ghost town and begins a rematch with Richie. After getting many hits in and removing Richie's mask, Richie wraps him in a chain and hooks it up underneath the car, defeating Zolo. He is then seen next to the truck outside while Richie is beginning to burn in the sun since the car will not start.

In Dark Side of the Sun, he admits defeat by Richie and begins to serve him. Unfortunately, he is pushed into Xibalba while trying to help Richie against a mind controlled Aiden.

Physical Appearance[]

Zolo had an athletic, muscular build, tall stature, and wears warrior clothing. He had war paint around his eyes, had brown eyes and dark brown hair styled into a mohawk.

Personality[]

He is a skilled and fearless warrior, he is also loyal to those he serves. Despite being a Xibalban, he isn't without honor as he served Brasa when he defeated Zolo, and the second fight with Richie.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Immortality- As demon of Xibalba, Zolo has the ability of eternal youth.
  • Clairaudience- Zolo displayed the ability to track down his targets by listening to their heart rate.
  • Camouflage- Along with his other warrior teammates, Zolo is able to render himself invisible by camouflaging into walls.
  • Accelerated Healing- Zolo was able to rapidly heal a broken arm without the need to consume blood.

Skills[]

  • Martial Arts- He has shown to be very skilled in hand to hand combat, capable of leveling the playing field against culebras.

  • Zolo is a Hispanic name, but it's unknown what it means.
